Qedoza (qeh-doe-zah)
Qedozi are similar to Animalians, in that they are almost like a different 'breed' of human, a race created from the unity of humans and spirits from different planes, usually the plane of dreams (Ribosia) or in-betweens (Cytosia) — these spirits are referred to as Query.
Qedozi are of rock-solid minds, spiritual and subtly other. No wonder as their own essence is linked to essences of spirits of other realms since the day they were born as passed down their lineage.
How? They were 'created' for a lack of a better word to work with the Lethvens in a city called Mihtrea where they are bound by duty to work together for a greater cause. All the while keeping each other's incomprehensible nature in check in a perfectly balanced alliance that relies on the fact they do not perfectly trust one another, for it weeds out deceit between individuals quickly. All for the greater good.
Seen as wise, spiritual people with great compassion for others, there is an unmistakable alien quality to them. As if they are haunted by the conflicts of their otherworldly spirits and the cause of all humanity's endless influence of the world around them seeping into the other planes.
Appearance
They appear human... but their features seem to shift in a dreamlike way or skin glowing faintly, from the corner of your eye. Their own eyes are pale and the colour easily forgotten.
Height & Weight: Their size and build are similar to humans.
Features
Regardless of which plane their Query spirit originates, Qedoza have stronger walls within their minds protecting them from magic aiming to influence or overtake them.
Cytosia Bond
Qedoza that have a link to Cytosia can speak telepathically to anyone they can see so long as they are awake and able to think. Even if the target does not speak the same language, general emotions and images can be expressed to get the idea across. This link, while actively maintained, can be a two-way street should the Qedoza allow it.
Ruccid Bond
Qedoza that have a link to Ribosia can send their mind into the dreams of others through the doors of Ribosia, allowing them to interact in any way, even if they do not share a language, general emotions and images can be exchanged. These Ribosa cannot be affected by dream magic.
Query
Every Qedoza has a connection to a spirit of another plane, a bond that is then passed on and shared by their children (unless a new bond is then made). Qedoza appear mostly human, but their spiritual connection affects them in a variety of ways.
Qedoza don't directly communicate with their Query spirits often - to take up their time when they share a bond with many others would be selfish. Rather, they experience the bond as a sort of instinct like another sense while awake. However if they were to commune with their Query the interactions are vague; not commanding but as guiding as a cryptic poem to decipher. Usually this is done when a Qedoza goes to sleep instead of dreaming.
The connection between the two grants Qedoza extremely strong minds against psychic attacks and abilities while granting them some of their own. All of these Query spirits that bind themselves in such a way are virtuous and mostly 'pre-approved and tested' by being bound to ancestors beforehand. Typically, a Qedoza born into the culture will know the name and nature of their spirit as told by their parents or people. It is even reflected in their names: a Query's name is attached to the ends of a Qedoza's own, acting as a sort of last name at the same time. As it's easy to track the lines and bonds this way, a new Query name would then be a source of some alarm.
In rare cases, for whatever reason a Qedoza may be born or 'made' outside of Mihtrea, where they may know nothing of their spirit or the source of their psychic gifts. Often times, these Qedoza are labelled mad or become so.
Naming Traditions
Family names
Qedoza names contain the names of their Query as a suffix, uniting them as part of them and with their fellow spirit bound.

Query Ari - Nishari, Shinari
Query Armelk - Visharmelk, Zuuarmelk
Query Harath - Divisharath, Malarkharath
Query Kri - Savakri
