Azaloth (ahz-ah-loth)

MYTHOLOGY
It's heavily debated whether Azaloth came to be in the same moment magic and The Magic Thread was created or if he came after, which is the common belief of those that learn magic. Those of the divine path believe he came to be at the same time and should be respected for the protection and maintenance he gives to the Magic Thread that supplies all magical power.
PAST WORSHIP
Azaloth has never had much worship, as those who follow divine paths are granted their powers through the belief of their deities, which of course take on the flavour of the deity's domains. Whereas learned magic of Azaloth's domain is something that can be learn without zealotry. To be of clerical dedication to the god of magic is thus fairly counter intuitive.
PRESENT WORSHIP
It is no surprise then that Azaloth is almost dormant now, some believing still that he is no more than the Magic Thread itself.
