Chargestone
"So small, and yet it holds enough power to destroy this entire building. Imagine if, somehow, we could harness that power. The possibilities..."Chargestone is a crystalline material
Properties
Material Characteristics
Chargestone is a crystalline material that is made of rough, jagged, angular shapes. They are often warm to the touch, even when wet. Chargestone is incredibly durable, and was once throught unbreakable until a few decades ago.
Geology & Geography
Chargestone is a common crystalline material that is located in almost all parts of the world. Chargestone emerges high in the mountains, as the heart of vast island networks, or as crystalline chasms and canyons. Because of this, many scholars wonder if their worlds basic geological processes have been created due to the reaction chargestone has with energy and, if so, how much of an impact.
History & Usage
History
Until a scant few decades ago, Chargestone was widely regarded with fear and surrounded by mystical beliefs due to its destructive outbursts of unrefined energy. Its seemingly impenetrable exterior posed a significant challenge to mining endeavors, as any attempts to break through its surface often triggered explosive energy eruptions from the resulting cracks.

Cycle of Energy
- Release. Chargestones unleash their stored energy in a magnificent outburst that propels the released energies into the lower atmosphere.
- Reaction. These disparate energies react with one another, coalescing into a massive rogue superstorm that traverses the planet.
- Retrograde. As the storm progresses, the combined energies gradually disintegrate, breaking apart into their individual components.
- Recapture. The fragmented energies are then reabsorbed and recaptured by the Chargestones, replenishing their stores until they become sufficiently saturated.
- Repeat. The cycle starts anew.
So technically iittle chaos energy bombs which have to be used in a controlled manner and then "recaptured"? This sounds like trying to catch the storm in the bottle, once it has been released. Hence, this could be a source of mighty characters or technology and at the same time the downfall of whole nations. high risk high reward materials are always fun. *pokes a crystal with a metal rod* also: Midjourney is quite awesome.
That is actually the angle I'm going for with this. As this material, once refined by Kabaron Ironbrand, became the cause of an industrial revolution
