505F-Parime Naval Auxiliary-Forces

"I wasn't the only one leaving Parime, though, coming with me were a few hundred or so volunteers under Admin Merican's Pan-Military Collaboration Pact. About two-thousand soldiers, pilots and support-staff from across Parime have put their differences aside and agreed to help build diplomatic connections with Union-space by working directly for them, both inside the colony and in neighboring systems(...) A lot of the tensions between their respective groups are still present, but when the emergency-preperation drills started, nobody hesitated in putting disputes aside -stopping mid-argument, even- and getting to work with the sort of coordination I wouldn't expect from people technically at war with oneanother."
— Rosalina Toro - Reflections of Parime, Revised Edition.

"The joke in Parime and beyond is that the Auxiliary-Forces are the runts of their respective herds - undisciplined castoffs who didn't meet actual military standards or made an enemy of the wrong colonel, and got volunteered into an Auxiliary recruitment-drive as a result - but that's a pretty reductive summary of the situation: Sure, people who don't rub with conventional military discipline make the bulk of volunteers, but the task-force makes sure to single out the ones that really aren't cut for important duties and either send them home or put them someplace where they can't do much damage. The rest that make the cut are accomodated for by putting them into units and tasks where conventional warfare and doctrine hinder more than help, and they consistently get the results that justify their continued deployment . Still doesn't explain how twenty Sparri mercs got involved, mind you."
— UTF Corporal McKelly, circa 5015u.

Structure

Auxiliary forces operate in a semifluid variation of Union-standard organisation structures, designed to ease in the numerous idealogical and organisational differences of an Auxiliary's previous military experience and acclimate them towards working with others of a similar nature (and to ease already burdened buearocratic systems within Parime's task-force). These structures become more streamlined and open to variation the better qualified an Auxiliary is, on the grounds that a sufficiently trained/experienced Auxiliary can adapt and maintain discipline more independantly than an inexperienced one.

Culture

Potential Auxiliary recruits are carefully screened for personal traits and education that Union staff believe to be condusive towards working in units mixed with personell from different affiliations across Parime. This policy, along with the loose/ad-hoc command structures established by Union staff, give an Auxiliary unit the initial appearance of being indisciplined and irregular. While there is some truth in this, especially in regards to personell recruited from civilian forces, Auxiliaries more than make up for such eclecticness by way of flexibility, unorthodox capabilities and surprisingly high degrees of unit cohesion.

Public Agenda

The Auxiliary's public mandate is the cultural and political intergration of Parime colonists into Union space as a whole, by way of selectively recruiting forces from a wide variety of factions and allegiences and cooperatively assisting Union Naval and DOJ/HR forces both in and out of Parime.

Assets

Currently, over 3,000 colonists from Parime have been succesfully recruited into the Auxiliary forces, primarily spread throughout the system itself but recently begining trials operating within other systems as assisting elements to primary Union forces.
