A very job-focused woman, the gunny takes a 'tough love' approach to bringing the Auxiliaries into fighting-shape, intending to weed out those not cut out for the harships of the job as early as possible before focussing her attention on the remainder in a more outwardly benevolent manner. The rookies aren't fond of this, but the ones who push through end up having a begrudging respect for her methods."

"This one time, a couple Auxiliaries got into a dispute about politics that naturally got a bit heated, and Gunny was pretty content in leaning back and watching the two idiots try to slug it out. Soon as it looked like the fight wasn't going to end pretty, it took all of a couple seconds for the gunny to close the distance and end the fight right there. She sat the two perpetrators down in the medbay, gave 'em both a pep-talk that dabbled in esperit-de-corps, spiritualism and proper hand-to-hand technique, and the two shook hands and apologised to Gunny right there.
