Dapplekin

The Dapplekin are Shades that are able to keep their intelligence and thinking capabilities as well as their looks due to their souls being stored in a different object then their bodies. The Dapplekin are Wycra that have underwent the Detachment Ceremony and instead of their own bodies dying and rotting, their familiars bodies do, usually still being able to act according to their masters will until their bodies completely rot away and leave behind their skeletal remains. As a result of the unique situation, the only way to really kill a Dapplekin is to destroy their familiars skeletal remains, or in the rare case of a reanimated familiar, by completely destroying it with either light magic or with a sacred object. The Dapplekins also have the unique ability to use Shadow Magic on others and not just on themselves.
