Ninetik

Based on Rinz (Energy) - Ninetik has been around for over 100 years, but grew from a simple startup utility company into a megacorp in the wake of WWV, having developed a way to safely harvest energy from Earth’s radioactive atmosphere, slowly but surely cleaning the atmosphere as it does so. Now with investments in solar, wind, hydro, geothermal, fission, fusion, and radiation, Ninetik components are onboard all Terran Systems Capital Ships and nearly all bubble colonies. They also power at least ⅔ of all Jump Points, although Systems occasionally uses other contractors. Ninetik is run by a not a CEO but a Council of Enthusiasts, which grows or shrinks, adding vetted candidates based on investor opinion every six months. Of course, not all investors are given equal say - generally a $1,000,000 investment is worth one vote, so their richest donors are worth thousands of times that much. As such, being a Council Member in Ninetik is considered a status symbol beyond even owning land on The Wheel (which Ninetik itself, of course, also does).
