Skallison's Forge
Skallison's is one of many blacksmiths in Osbegda, situated in the middle of the industrial district. The building is well maintained and the shop inside is clean and well lit. The shop has weapons and armour on display, as well as a selection of decorative metalwork. The floor and walls are brownstone and there is a polished wooden counter towards the back of the shop.
Purpose / Function
A blacksmith shop where the PC's can buy basic weapons and armour, and can also get non magical gear repaired. The blacksmith is known to make good quality gear at reasonable prices and has several apprentices so waiting times are not too long.
Architecture
The main building is brownstone on the ground floor and wooden on the second floor. it has a shingled roof and wooden framed glass pane windows. It has a sturdily built large wooden lean to at the side of the building where the forge is housed. The main building ground floor houses the shop with a workroom at back. The upstairs is living quarters for the blacksmith and her husband. The shelter at the side contains a large stone forge and several anvils and workstations, it has a sturdy slightly sloping wooden roof which is held up with 4 large wooden pillars.
History
The forge has been in the owners family since it was built 150 years ago and has passed down thorough the family since. A fire burnt down the original lean to about 30 years ago but it has since been rebuilt bigger than it was before to accommodate two new anvil stations.
