Session 9: To Thormag Report
General Summary
With orders given, the party went along with Aurum to assist him with his assignment to help alleviate the troubles surrounding the plague. Breezy felt increasingly guilty about his actions and decided that as he waited to serve his time, he wanted to do what he could to help. Since the carriage was going along, so was Baba. The rest of the entourage stayed in Unama to help discover more about the plague. Josh sought wisdom from Aurum, curious as to how he could become a hero like him, Ryz, and Adeline. Aurum provided measured and reassuring support that he would find his courage in time, and his desire to do good will help him a lot. With that support, and a handful of Aurum's autotriplicate report papers to fill out, Josh set out to keep an eye over things and help investigate some of the strange goings on.
With only a light rain fall, the EmeraldCrest rolled down the road, east, into the dense forest that separated Unama from Thormag. With a flash of his seal of the armory, Aurum and the party passed through the Amani Military checkpoint not far into the forest.
The thick canopy protected them from the rain, making the forest even darker than usual. Though barely visible, Baba spotted a woman crying on the road ahead and stopped the carriage. As the party began to approach to help, she stood. As she turned, her neck snapped sharply like a horrifying glow stick. Her appearance began to glow a bright pink as she became more transparent. While she approached, several damaged warforged crawled toward the party.
