Royal Armory Edict 19 - Time in Service considerations regarding demotion

Purpose

In the rare circumstances in which a knight of the Royal Armory has performed some action which merits consequences more severe than reprimand, but does not warrant removal from service, and has exceeded time in service limits of the rank of demotion, this edict provides exception to the time in service limitations to allow for redemption and recovery of rank.

Applicable to all members of the Royal Armory and enforced by the Admonisher under the authority granted to them by the Magisters of the Royal Armory.

Royal Armory Edict 19 - Time in Service considerations regarding demotion

In the service of the Royal Armory knights are held to high expectations in their duties spanning many disciplines. As a natural result, the consequences for failing to uphold the expectations set upon them have varied severities. The following is to be referenced when demotion is the chosed consequence to be delivered.

1 - Circumstances regarding consequences

1.1 Each rank has specified time in service limits which, when met, require a knight to be discharged from service, unless they have received an exception as found in Royal Armory Edict 3 - Extensions for Time in Service. They are as follows:

1.1.1 Squire - 5 years

1.1.2 Knight - 20 years

1.1.3 Elite Knight - 10 years

1.1.4 Elder Knight - 10 years

1.1.5 Palace Guard - 10 years

1.1.6 Special Duty Knight - 10 years

1.1.7 Magister - 10 years
