Ghoul

Ghouls stalk the Screaming Desert outside the walls of Palimpsest. They worship He-That-Walks-Beyond-The-Wall, the Prince in Saffron.

In the Arts

The Heart Beats On, the fourteenth book of the Qu'onan the Warrior Elf series, features a gruesome yet beautiful ghoul maiden with a hunger for elven organs as Qu'onan's female conquest for the installment. The book was written by Talitha Spice in 1257, and features religious references to the Prince in Saffron that would have been unpublishable only a few decades later. It is now one of the least circulated books in the Qu'onan saga and is not sold in any of the upper levels of Palimpsest.   Ghouls also frequently appear as villians in the Qu'onan saga, whenever the titular Warrior Elf ventures into the Screaming Desert. Most notably, in Desert Heat, the sixty-ninth book of the series, Qu'onan rescues a beautiful slave maiden from the putrid court of Sul'tan Ghuul.

Ghoul Campaign (900s-930s)
