Planar Introduction
The planes surrounding Othealia fall under three distinct categories.
The first of which is the material which includes the world of Othealia, the Realm of Ivy (feywild), and the Realm of Ash (shadow fell). These tend to stick to the laws of physics and nature of the world or determine their own. For example, time as Othealia knows it plays tricks in the Realm of Ivy, and space can morph and alter in the Realm of Ash.
The second categorization is the elemental. These plans are powerful and chaotic. They consist of the Wasteland (fire and the Hells), the Void (air and the Abyss), the Deep Depths (water and the Ethereal), and the Grove (earth and the Underdark). These planes exist by their own rules of understanding. Some such as the Wastelands have strict laws that are followed where as the Void revels in its chaos.
The final and least mapped category of planes is the celestial. This is mostly made up of the Celestial Speckles. These are smaller individualized domains of the gods. Their rules and physics tend to mirror that of Othealia but are subject to the god that rules them. For example in the domain of the Sparkling Misteress there is little to no sense of gravity and below the elemental and material planes can be seen no matter an individual’s position. There is a second type of plane in the celestial category and that is that of the Afterlife of mortal souls, this exists as an interconnecting web that stretches between celestial speckles and is woven in an interconnecting tapestry that is impossible for any mind except the highest of gods to understand such as Lady Death and the Messenger of Silence.
