the CCN was a defensive pact founded in 2552 between the Terrans and a number of races in the quadrant.
History
Founding
After the official declaration of independance of the Ekuneri Commonwealth, a number of smaller local polities met with each other to discuss a defensive pact to protect their portion of the quadrant. In 2552, they approached the The Terran Republic for membership. Foreign Secretary Herrick Knottman signed the official CCN treaty.26th Century
With the downfall of the Karkouri in the late 2550s, the CCN enjoyed a period of relative peace. However, the 2nd Zzenddi War saw the first deployment of the alliance fleet. The Bl'Hud worlds were decimated by the Zzenddi fleet "GORGON" before the CCN fleet, backed by Terran Task Force "Liberator" engaged them in 2573. They successfully routed the Zzenddi and finished them off in 2575. They eventually rejoined with the rest of the Fleets for the final battles of the war. The Bl'Hud Primacy, whos infrastructure and population were decimated, is the primary focus of aid from its allies in the years that follow. In the 2580s, an attempt by the Terran Republic to bring the Gannid into the alliance was halted by an aggressive Dhau response. In the later part of the decade, the Salborian Free State begins to make claims on Rorn worlds. The Salborian - Rorn tensions escalate until the Terran Republic engages in a naval battle against the Salborians in 2597.27th Century
The Dhau Empire make a move on the world of Vodhyanna in 2601. The CCN fleet assembles and joins the Terran and Gannid fleet near the system. They hold this defensive position until the Salborian fleet moves on the Rorn world of Norant, defeating a meager Rorn contingent, forcing all the CCN allies to recall their fleet to defend the Rorn. The Hressan Republic joins the alliance in 2607 and its fleet splits in two, a major contingent joining the Terran/Gannid fleets in their engagements against the Dhau, and the rest backing up the other CCN forces in Rorn space.Members
The original members were the The Terran Republic, Bl'Hud Primacy, Rorn Republic, Mor-Du & Ekuneri Commonwealth. The Hressan Republic joined the alliance in 2607 during the war with the Dhau Empire, immediately reinforcing the Terran/Gannid fleet as well as the CCN fleet defending Rorn space against the Salborian State.Foreign Relationships
