Haubgoblins

The Hylex, or Haubgoblins as they are often called, are an evolutionary radiation of goblins indigenous to the arid planet Haub. They are much larger and stronger than their Klex cousins, and much more prone to aggression due to millennia of competition for resources in the bleak wastes.

Biology

Anatomy & Morphology

The Hylex resemble their hexapodal Klekonian ancestors, but with more muscle mass, fat, and hair to keep them warm in the cold sands of Haub. They also lack their cousins' dexterous prehensile tail.

Ecology

Geographic Origin & Distribution

The Hylex subspecies of Klex originated on the frigid desert planet Haub, in the Kleor star system. They are not nearly as common as their cousins, with about the same diasporic level as orcs.

The society of the Haubian people is similar to that of the Aerese Makhai, a warrior culture centered around honorable combat. They do not quite share the technological affinity that defines their Klekonian ancestors, but many Hylex do have an innate understanding of how things work.
