First War for the Frontier

The First War for the Frontier was fought between Holzreich and the Grand Duchy of Novaya for control of the The Frontier.

The Conflict

Prelude

Following the annexation of Grunga by Holzreich in 166 IE, tensions between the Reich and the Grand Duchy of Novaya quickly ramped up. Rather than waiting for a Novayan attempt to besiege Grunga, the Reich intiated hostilities in 167 IE.

Deployment

Prior to the commencement of the conflict, the Reichguard dispatched a force of 45,000 soldiers to Grunga. Novaya sensed the approaching conflict and began raising their levies and calling up warriors from the Plainsfolk clans.

Battlefield

The fighting primarily took place around the city of Grunga and in the Novayan Frontier.

Outcome

Novaya Retains control of the Frontier, Holzreich retains control of the city of Grunga.
