The War of Emperors
The War of Emperors began in 339 PS and ended in 377 PS. The brutal near forty year war was fought between the two main power players of Elentaria, the Dawn and Waukan Empires.
The war began with the invasion of Eislen by Waukan, which was met in turn by an counter strike by The Dawn Empire into much of Waukan's territories.
The war was not continuously fought, in fact it would be fair to say that the war was infact a much larger series of wars and hostile campaigns across the thirty eight years.
It was a series of decisive victories for The Dawn Empire however which secured their victory, the Dislani conquer of northern Ilsau in 375 PS led to the King of the country to abandon his Waukan allies and take a neutral stance for the remainder of the war. The following defection of Almus, The Tenth to the Dawn Empire meant Waukan was forced to fight a war on three fronts.
In 376 PS, Emperor Victor Rosenhein of Waukan ordered the abandonment of their capital and fled east into Dalry, this allowed Emperor Milaines Juliant I of the Dawn Empire to swiftly take the land from the remnants of the army left behind, installing his cousin Quintus Buccio as the Duke of the newly named Waukan, The Eleventh.
The retreat of the Waukan army allowed the Emperor to focus all his forces into finishing the conquer of Ilsau, adding it as the twelfth duchy of the Dawn Empire.
A treaty with the Kingdom of Maubrin allowed Emperor Milaines to attack Dalry on all sides, ordering a naval blockade of all Dalran ports to ensure no escape. Within the year Dalry had been conquered and the Waukan Empire and Rosenheim family sufficiently defeated. Milaines allowed the Garrington family to remain rulers of Dalry as a sign of mercy due to their loyalty to their former lieges.
