Prime Deities
Prime Deity is the name given to the twenty Numen that rose to form the main pantheon of Gods after The First Revolution.
The Numen gained their power from twenty Divine Spark created by Viskara, allowing them to access his power of creation, in a much lesser form, these sparks would only work on The Material Plane and their new homes of Nirvana, Elysium, and Heaven, making them the Gods of these domains.
Since there are only twenty of these sparks, any being wishing to reach the power of a Prime Deity must find a way to kill one or steal their power from them. The only known case of this was done by Thasoie, The Broken Prince and Ialdir, The Sorrowful Lady at the start of The Schism, killing Semir, The Overseeing Beacon and Arcanis, The Bright Spell respectively. This is the only known instance of people taking the place of a Prime Deity, and these were beings formed from Viskara's own psyche, and as such incredibly powerful.
The Prime Deities rule over the Material and Upper Planes, being worshipped by the Mortal Races and often gifting chosen mortals power to continue their teachings and goals.
