Paige
Paige is the leader of the current Phosanan Resistance and former citizen of Oakenfair.
Paige was born in early 760PS to human parents in the border town of Oakenfair. When Paige was five, the town was attacked by its former Captain of the Guard, Control, his ally Alazzar, and a horde of Giants from the nearby Lasran Marshes. Paige's first memory is seeing her father be cut down in the streets of her home by Control's glaive.
Paige spent the next two decades of her life as a second class citizen, everyday was torture and pain as her and her mother struggled to to survive in the harsh fortress town. Her mother was made the slave and housemaid of one of the half-giants brought into the town, preparing his meals, cleaning his home, and harvesting food. For every minor infraction her mother was whipped and beaten, Paige forced to watch as the brute would beat her mother half to unconsciousness. At the age of ten Paige was sold to a household of Lizardfolk raiders, gambled away in a game of poker like currency. She was forced to work the portion of land the lizardfolk owned, one of the few farms in Oakenfair's territory. The work was hard and brutal, long hours and even longer punishments if quotas weren't met.
Paige would work these fields until she was nearly twenty five, until one day the warning horn blasted, and an army of savages descended upon the fortress town and began brutalising all in their way, slaughtering master and slave alike, burning all around them. Paige ran, trying to find her mother who she'd had scant contact with the last fifteen years, she found her on the end of the blade of an enormous half-giant, one she would discover was the new Baron Malice.
Paige ran into the wilderness, and was captured by soldiers from The Phosanan Might, who was rounding up civilians from the town. Paige was placed in a cage upon a wagon with other survivors, and carted off to Peregot Prison. On the journey however, the wagon was assaulted by freedom fighters looking to attack any governmental convoy, and Paige was freed.
Paige would join with this group, wanting revenge on all tyrants, swearing an oath to avenge her mother and father and ensure that nobody would suffer as she did. Eventually through her skill and determination, she made herself the head of the resistance effort in Kaviri, working fiercely to fight against the Baron Malice.
