Maria Pascal
Maria Pascal, nee Wright, was a banker in Cypren and mother of Ruby Wright.
Maria grew up in a well off family, eventually meeting and falling in love with the lawyer Joey Pascal. The couple soon married and had their only child, Ruby. The couple decided to go into business together, working on the accounts and affairs of the upper nobility and privately wealthy, which allowed them to amass a comfortable living and large home with servents.
In 764PS she and her husband found some errors in the accounts of one Dravin Cazamir, a member of The Opperice Club. The errors implied that Cazamir was much older than he claimed, and had accounts from hundreds of years past. The couple took these errors to Cazamir, asking for clarification, assuming they had made a mistake. Cazamir said he would look into the mistake and sent the couple on their way.
A few days later the couple died in a carriage accident, the vehicle tipping over and killing those inside due to a faulty wheel. It was discovered first by Maria's brother, Raymond Wright, that this was something to do with Cazamir and the mercenary group, The Bitter Ring. The extent of why such an assasination was planned however would only be discovered many years later by their daughter.
