Sendel's Bar

Tiny Village on the Owlbear River, on the southern shore of the Viking sea, on Reef Bay. 100 or so people, fishermen, though some trade connecting into the interior of the Great Marshes.

Demographics

Mostly human, though a few halflings, gnomes, half-orcs, etc. Most others are transients.

Government

Village council, though Hurd is the headman, mostly self-appointed.

Defences

The surrounding swamps, mainly.

Industry & Trade

Fishing and similar marine, some farming around the village, trapping and hunting, peat bogs, etc, up the river. All this is traded with nearboy villages.

Infrastructure

Two good jetties, a few piers of varying size and shape. Warehouses, smithies, sail makers, rope makers,ship builders, and similar places.

Guilds and Factions

Hurd is the headman. Loftus Cheeks owns a warehouse and two fishing boats, and is an important citizen. Harbin owns the Humble Heron, an inn, that caters to the better sort, such as that is here.

Architecture

Wooden houses, none too impressive.

Geography

build on a slight rise northeast of the Owlbear River. The river itself broadens out here, and forms a decent harbor, which has been improved. A sea wall runs along the inside.

Fish, trapping, moss, etc.
