Bully River

River running out of the Hool Marshes to the Viking Sea. Larger than Owlbear river, though almost more treacherous at the mouth.

Geography

This is a river that runs through the Hool Marshes, and ends in a large esstuary as it enters the Viking Sea. This is one of the lowest places on the land - the border between land and sea is particularly permeable, especially as this has a fairly high tidal run (14-15 feet usually.) The mouth is very treacherous - full of small low islands, sand bars, occasional reefs, mud flats and so on.
The river is itself like this - a long, winding thing, passing through the swamps, much of it tidal, all of it slow and fetid, except for a few places where the run is fairly strong.
