ISSV Command Explorer
The Command Explorer is one of the largest ships remarkably used by a potentially independant scholar team in common imperial merit. Its virtually a small space station, roaming as simple and easily fitting in like a common vessel. A large upgrade of the Explorer in many ways. It has more furnished and established beds, medical and food needs, a library in addition to the study, more compacted bunks and bedding, a meditation bay, a replicator station, and media and space for young broods. Its intended for trips or studies that can require time or dedication to the point that entire generations are spent and lived through these vessels, or given more to such commanders or deserving scholars as simply large and earned gifts (and to see how they may use it on their own will to uncover more information).
The main design is similar enough to Explorer models, except for its larger size, broader primary wings, and a more rounded bridge that actually goes up a little ways on a vessel that is generally taller. There's also a slimmer "body" dip that often has a potential entrance. Weapons are fully customizable and intended to be refitted for the job. Potentially a threatened siiva owner could have their CE prepared as something closer to a gunship with time and resources. However ordinarily they have simpler balistics and laser cannons, like a simpler rendition of the Rattler fighter vessel. On the whole armed combat isn't its intention, but being cast out to the depths of discovery, is a preparation.
The historic vessle of The ISSV Clandestinity is one such example of a large and capable vessel entrusted to Alurem, but was large and capable enough that its 'salvage' was built onto and redone into a fixed and genuine full OA space station.
