River Styx
The River Styx is an underground river that flows through the island of Hadesia. It is the main source of freshwater for the city of Dancamort, as well as a primary transportation artery both for its citizens and for the stone and metal ore it mines from deep beneath the island's surface.
Paradoxically, it flows inward from its delta, through the Styx Hollow neighborhood of Dancamort, over the Stygian Falls in Deep Hollow (diverting some of its water into the Baths of Lethe), and beyond The Wall. Beyond this, no mortal has yet followed it far enough to trace its origin and come back to tell the tale. Some believe it originates in the Underdark; others claim it flows from Hades itself.
Natural Resources
Despite flowing inwards from the ocean, the River Styx is a crucial source of freshwater for the city of Dancamort. However, for a river, it is unusually sterile and devoid of life.
