Cypruvalu
Cypruvalu is the largest island in the Aquatic Kingdoms. It is largely mountainous and mostly sparsely inhabited, with most of its population concentrated in the scholars' city of Cape Hildegard on its northwestern tip.
Climate
Cypruvalu has a temperate and largely alpine climate. Its winters are particularly harsh and snowy.
Fauna & Flora
Historically, due to Cypruvalu's relatively poor connection with the ley line network, the flora and fauna of the island are relatively mundane, with no particular localized phenomena. Rocs and minor earth elementals are not uncommon. In roughly the past century, aberrations and mutated creatures have begun appearing in central Cypruvalu.
Tourism
Cape Hildegard is a bustling port city that acts as the gateway to the island. Those few who travel beyond it are typically either pilgrims seeking knowledge at the holy mountain of Mount Scivias, or adventurers seeking fortune deep within the mountains beyond. For over 200 years, the Cave of the Order of the Banished Scholars, the cursed resting place of the order rumored to be home to a portal to the Nine Hells, was a destination for particularly foolhardy adventurers. None who actually reached the caves returned to tell the tale, until a band of adventurers finally closed the portal in Y1110.
