Zelene Silvers
Zelene Silvers was a human pirate and captain of the Silver Saber, operating the southern Draconic Ocean in the early Second Age. Originally from Obsidios, she was perhaps most famous for plundering the Zah Potency in 67 2A.
History
Born in 13 2A, Zelene grew up as a cutpurse on the mean streets of Asya. When she was nine, she stowed away aboard a privateer, bound to attack the Thanasian shipping in the Tritonic Ocean. When the voyage proved unsuccessful, the crew mutinied and hoisted the red flag. By 56 2A, Zelene gained the captaincy of the Silver Saber and hasn't looked back since. In Athson 67, while transporting a sizable portion of the blue dragon's hoard, the Zah Potency and her escort fell under attack by the Silver Saber. The Saber quickly incapacitated the escort with a few casks of alchemist's fire before the pirate galley closed to board. After a long and bloody fight, the Zah Potency and all her treasure was taken. Flush with their winnings, Silvers and her crew retired to the nearby Qoza, where they ran the ship aground on the harbor island. For the next two weeks, they would fritter away much of the dragon's treasure on drink, food and pleasurable company. Shortly thereafter, she was hired by the Menagerie to escort them south to their contract in Vhakizla.Character
Personality
Even from a young age, Zelene Silver was an incorrigible thief and absolutely convinced of her future success. Her nickname came from the coin purse she wore around her neck, allegedly the very first she stole as a child cutpurse. Even when she was starving, Zelene refused to spend that money, claiming it was the foundation of her eventual success. She was a fierce and unrivaled pirate captain, cunning and ambitious and all business while atop the deck. During her shore leaves, however, she was known for her rapacious appetites and her libertine tastes. She was especially prone to nudity, enjoying the power and security with which she could display her body.Campaigns
The Menagerie
- Vhakizla: When seeking a means to reach Vhakizla, the Menagerie hired Zelene to transport them, in exchange for an unspecified future favor. She and Umber sparked a whirlwind romance during the voyage. (Chapter 2) Upon arriving at the mouth of the Heartvein River and discovered it blockaded, they persuaded the captain to help them break the blockade – with a duel to first blood. Zelene fought Remorhaz and narrowly lost. (Chapter 3)
