Robyn Spade Shepard (a.k.a. Spade, Searcher Of The Moon, Miss Shepard)
Robyn Shepard is a resident of the town of Moonblight, working under The Refounded as a Searcher. She's gained a fair bit of notoriety throughout the town for her determination, her fiery attitude, and her small; indoor greenhouse containing some of the hottest peppers one can find down in the south within the frozen wasteland.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Due to the years of training she has put herself through, she has a rather strong disposition on display, being rather strong and dangerous in combat. Although the blindness in her left eye has made it harder for her to see, she relies on her senses such as sound and smell to detect danger if needed. She has a buff and scarred body underneath the clothes she wears, gained from all the practice and injuries she's sustained through the years.
Body Features
An ivory-paleish complexion, with faint scars scattered around on her body, most prominently over her left eye. Her hair is blond, tied up into a rough ponytail as it hangs down behind her head.
Physical quirks
She's right-hand dominant, and she tends to lean towards her right side unless she's holding something heavy in her right hand. Oftentimes, she'll bring her hand up to rub her hand underneath her eye patch.
Apparel & Accessories
Along with the black eye patch that wraps around her head to cover her wounded eye, she is usually seen wearing a leather-and-wool covered clothing, always on the shirt, pants and shoes. When she's out doing her job as a Searcher or helping The Overwatch with a protection job, she wears steel shoulder pads with leather embedded into it and thick feathery wool sticking out from underneath it. She wears leather wraps around her hands to protect them from the elements, as well. She wears a bag on her back to carry all of her specialized equipment in it, and a small bag on her side for whatever small items she wants to have on hand.
Specialized Equipment
Generally, she will never leave home without her Family Shovel or a crowbar on hand, weaponized and ready whenever she needs it. Alongside that, she carries an emergency flare in her bag, a horn to signal her location out to others in the area; and various other trinkets in her bag. There's been a few times when she carries a stick of dynamite or a Molotov cocktail just in case of emergency.

Personal history
Robyn Shepard was born on January 8th, 1994, in Moonblight, the first of Annabell Josephine's two children. They lived in the cold dens of Old Moonblight, protected from the dangers of the outside world thanks to what was left of the massive wall that surrounded the town; and the people working under The Refounded. Her father, Jonathan Nolan, worked as Searcher before settling down a year later in The Last Bar On Earth, being paid a fair amount of Cigarettes for his work.
When she turned three, in 1997, her sister, Chara Shepard, would be born that same year. At her young age, Robyn would attempt to help her mother with taking care of Chara, not particularly doing things right at her young age, but she still attempted to give it her all. She would remain close to her sister, despite the ups and downs, throughout the rest of their lives.
A year later, Jonathan would slowly start to become abusive, slowly going mad from all the stresses that surrounded them in the frozen wasteland; which is an unfortunately common occurrence nowadays. He would hurl insults towards her and her mother, getting more and more bitter and; at one point when Robyn was five years old, slapped the young girl for crying in response to the abuse her mother was receiving. Seeing the insanity of this man growing and wanting to protect her children, Annabelle sent them to live with their grandmother, Adrianna Shepard, for a few weeks. This would be the last thing she would do, however; as on September 23rd, 1998, Jonathan murdered Annabelle, robbing Robyn and Chara of their mother. Soon after that, Jonathan was put to death in the snow, a common punishment The Refounded held under the rule of 'You kill an innocent, you die."
In the years after, Robyn and Chara both lived under the home of their grandmother, with their last name being changed to her maiden name, Shepard. Their lives had improved in this time, as much as one's life can in the frozen wasteland. Robyn has only vague memories of her mother, sometimes dreaming about meeting her again one day at night; when she isn't having a nightmare about the abuse or the dangers of the cold world. They would live peacefully, for the next couple of years, with Robyn learning from her grandma how the world was like before the world froze over; and some of the skills she had to learn to live.
On December 3rd, 2004, the Stampede Of Ice occurred. The entire town was engulfed in a massive blizzard, with hundreds of Living Ice running through the town and outside the walls. Unfortunately for Robyn, she was trapped outside her house, stuck in Joseph's Eatery on the other side of town with several other residents of Moonblight. Going against the orders by the older people in the eatery, she attempted to try and traverse through the blizzard herself, wanting to make sure Chara and her grandmother were still safe. Wearing a heavy coat and remaining in the dark, she had managed to get halfway through the town before being ambushed by the Living Ice.
She was chased through the cold by the monsters for a little while before being cornered by them. One of the Living Ice attacked her, scratching at her eye and wounding it; but before they could harm her much further, she was saved by James Volkov and a few of the members of the Overwatch Of The Refounded. They quickly brought her to a shelter where a few doctors were hiding out in during the blizzard, including Dr. Eve Oliver. They acted quick to patch up her wound, she lost her eye, but she was brought to a stable condition, especially when the doctors had given her several doses of Anti-Frost and RadNull. Although this would help to prevent the onset of the more serious and fatal issues that arise from Acute Freezing Syndrome, she would still suffer from her body being unable to regulate its heat.
When the Stampede of Ice ended, and she reunited with her family, there was a change that occurred within her at this point. She was inspired by the people who saved her and the citizens in Moonblight. She would soon visit James Volkov and try to beg him to let her train with him as part of The Overwatch. He would refuse at first, seeing as though she was just but a kid, but Robyn was undeterred. She would save up the allowance of cigarettes that her grandmother gave her, and buy a wooden practice sword from the Smelter Workshop that James worked at. For the next two years, during the day, she would train by herself behind her house, oftentimes with her starry-eyed younger sibling joining in. Each month during that span of three years, she would go to James and beg to be trained by him, each time being declined.
In 2006, her grandmother would pass away; leaving the young Shepard girl wrecked with grief. Yet despite that, she found solace in combat, getting stronger and stronger each day that went by. That same year, on November 7th, she would go to ask James to teach her how to fight once again. Instead of turning her down immediately, he asked why she was so persistent about wanting to train with him. She told him that she was thankful for what she did for everyone in the town, and wanted to help people in the frozen wasteland as well. She tells him how much she had been training, all the time she spent fighting and pulling her own weight. While he declined training her once again, he did make her an offer that would let him finally judge if she would be worth training. She was offered a job at the Workshop he managed, to help around the place. She accepted without hesitation.
From 2006 to 2009, she would work for James in his workshop, learning the various tricks of the trade including how to use the smelter, how to tell the durability of various metals, and the best ways to use Edenite. Aside from that, she would also learn from him a few things about farming and how to patch one's self up from particular injuries. During that time, James would be amazed by this young girl's dedication. It was a tough time for Robyn, as sometimes her excitement would get the better of her, resulting in her occasionally being burned from the metals and injured wielding the tools wrong. Despite that, she would persevere. It would be in 2009 that James finally decided to train her, taking her under his wing in combat.
For the next five years of her life, she would practice and train with James and some members of The Overwatch, learning the ways they fight and hunt. She had quickly gained a reputation for her stubborn attitude in combat; as even when she should remained knocked down from her injuries, she would force herself right back onto her feet and keep on going; usually to the point of her having to be rendered unconscious to even be stopped. During this time, she would convince James to turn her Family Shovel into a weapon, putting a Shock Edenite gem into the base of it and sharpening the edges of the shovel. This would give her the nickname of 'Spade' as she used this shovel in combat; swinging the shovel around and smacking people in the head with it hard.
Since the days of her training, she has worked on-and-off for The Overwatch, helping them with various jobs involving the protection of Moonblight and other regions within The Refounded. Other-times, she works as a Searcher, returning to Moonblight and other places with various supplies. She often goes on these supply runs with James or her younger sister, whom has taken up the cause of helping people with her.
Sexuality
She's bisexual all the way, often finding herself being interested in either a cute guy or cute girl. Due to her line of work, however, she's afraid to get into a long-term intimate relationship with someone, not wanting to hurt them in the event that she gets severely wounded or even dies.
Mental Trauma
Along with the usual expected mental troubles belonging to those living in the frozen wasteland; of which include fear from outsiders and a dislike for the cold, she holds a lot of fear and pain in her heart from the death of her mother. Even though she only remembers two years of her life with her mother, she still misses her greatly and often-times has nightmares about losing her again and again. Because of this, she tends to be a bit too protective of people around her, willing to lay down her life to help them if needed.
Taboos
To her, people who would willingly murder someone who did no wrong is the worst sin someone could do. She has refused aid to those within the Shadowlands, seeing the people within the lands as crazed fanatics who would willingly corrupt and murder everyone around them. She also has a dislike towards those who would attempt to manipulate others; such as the people within the Frozen Core who still uphold the old Deepcore Foundation's beliefs and morals.

Motivation
Her motivation is simple: to protect her family, and those living in her town of Moonblight. She won't let anything stop her, and she is willing to lay down her life if needed. She knows that it's a dangerous world she is in, she knows that there's always a risk, but despite that fear, she's willing to do this no matter what.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Although she's really great with combat and has a good amount of knowledge with farming, due to the blindness in her left eye she does tend to have trouble judging distances or focusing on stuff. She doesn't do particularly well with mathematics, while she can do basic multiplication and division, when it gets complicated it leaves her completely lost. Recently, she had been taking up chess to try and become better at strategizing, having previously ran into issues with strategy and her rather blunt and to the point style of combat.
Vices & Personality flaws
She loves spicy stuff, to the point where she had opted to have a greenhouse put into a room of her and her sister's home. She grows her own hot peppers that she's dubbed the 'Deadly Peppers', which are extraordinarily hot. She also thinks that people need to be rather lax about drinking, given how that the world is frozen over and that sometimes, you need a stiff drink to drown your sorrows.

Family Ties
The only family member she has left living at the moment is her sister, Chara. Her parents are gone while her grandparents have all passed away from World War III to the current day. For a time, she had been able to talk to her great-grandmother, Richelle Rivers, though she eventually disappeared for mysterious reasons, with no one having a clue as to where she ended up.
Social Aptitude
She tends to be rather laid-back when discussing stuff with other people, though when she needs to get serious, she will gain a cold, dead tone to her voice. She usually really hates it when people aside from James or her sister talk about her childhood, often threatening the offender with silence if needed. She has a short temper, often getting angry when people are in her way or when people are messing around with stuff they really shouldn't. May god help those who are near her if she catches people not taking a dangerous situation seriously.

I see her as someone that would be played by the likes of Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2 or Sigourney Weaver in the Alien movies.
She's an interesting character - she's gone through so much in her life and seems much stronger for it. I was so proud of her reading about how she persistantly kept asking to be trained! <3
