Ester

I know what it's like to be lonely and without support. My wish is to be a warm soul to those who need it and provide whatever guiding light I can.

One of the friendliest fey in existence, Ester strives to do some good in the world. Her magical home in Kotimo serves as both an orphanage and a safe haven to those who need it. She has a long and complicated romantic history with Uxali, who she currently hasn't been able to see in quite some time.

Physical Traits

Ester is 5'9 and weighs 182lbs. Her skin is brown and super soft. She has pastel pink, curly hair that comes to her mid back. Her eyes are a deep orange that give off their own faint light. They have a shimmery effect in the iris. She has long, pointed ears with flared tips. There is a necklace of cherry blossoms tattooed around the base of her neck.
Her limbs and digits are long. There are numerous scars from claw attacks covering her whole back. She received these while protecting a child from a large wild cat in the forest. Her hands are soft and provide gentle, reassuring touches where needed. She keeps her nails trimmed short. A blossoming vine tattoo forms a spiral up her right arm. There is a stylized sun tattooed in white ink on the back of her left hand.
Ester tends to carry herself in a graceful manner. Her movements are fluid as she seemingly glides about from one activity to another. She keeps a good posture while dealing with more formal matters, but usually maintains a more relaxed air about her.

Personality and Style

A philanthrope at heart, Ester is a kind, welcoming woman. She is friendly to everyone and is willing to give others the chance to grow and change as a person. It is hard to break her trust. She is fiercely protective of those close to her, the residents of her home, and those who cannot do so themselves. Anyone who dares bring intentional harm to others will meet her wrath.
Ester enjoys gardening, baking, reading stories to the children in her home, having picnics, strolling through forests, napping in the sun, and doing crafty activities. Her home has a large garden and there are many potted plants dotted about on the ever expanding interior. Every weekend she makes an effort to bake cute cupcakes or cookies for her residents. She encourages them to join her, especially for the decorating. On nice weather days, she'll takes a group to the beach or park for brunch.
She does not like seeing people hurt, manipulation, pest infestations in her garden, coffee, the unseelie fae, greed, cold weather, and confrontations. For the most part she is nurturing and soft spoken, but knows to be stern and firm when needed. She hardly ever raises her voice unless something really pushed her over the edge.
Dresses, flowy skirts, and button up blouses make up a majority of her closet. Ester prefers a mix of light green, yellow, and white. She often makes flower crowns fresh from the garden for herself and residents. Butterfly patterns often adorn her clothes. She even owns numerous earrings depicting the insects in different colors and wing patterns. A peacock shaped pendant hangs from her neck on a silver chain. She prefers to wear sandals or flats.

Her Story

Not much is known about her super personal, deep history by the general public. Even many of her guests see her as a whimsical enigma. Only Uxali and a few select fae know her full life story. It is rumored that she was "birthed" from an ancient celestial being long ago, just like her missing partner. It's as if the two of them were fated to always find each other, no matter how much time had passed.
Ester was "born" in the Feywild. It is believed that sometime before the original islands were devoured by the sea, she was discovered by another Spring Court arch fey in a bed of flowers and mushrooms. He had no clue where she came from or how in the world she got there. It was evident she was of fae origin, but babies don't just poof into existence, right? This individual brought her to the Spring Queen at the time. It was decided she would raise and mentor her until she could live on her own and decide what she'd want to do with her life.
Once an adult, Ester did not want to stay in the Feywild. She heard of the realm connected to theirs, the realm in which Omari exists. With the queen's permission, she set out to explore the rest of the world and all its possibilities. She felt...drawn to it in a way she cannot explain. This invisible force within her was strong. It eventually brought her with Uxali. They do not know this was not the first time their souls have met. Something ignited inside her upon their meeting and she knew that she should stay close to him.
Uxali showed her the world. It was around this time he was seeking assistance in creation of the new islands for the Oizai. Ester could not offer much herself. Once the land masses were built and stabilized, she lent her own plant growing powers to help establish vegetation on the islands. Ester worked with Sumakari as he was the head of this endeavor. When the islands were all finished, Uxali took her on a trip across space before they'd settle down for good on one of the islands back in Omari.
During that trip he showed her his favorite planets, planes, and constellations. They grew close. It just felt right. Ester wouldn't have it any other way. She adored him and she loved him hard.
