Cita Arma

Crashed within the western peaks of the Monmagnas Mountains, Cita Arma is arguably the Citan ruin in the best condition. However, this by no means makes it safer than any other of it's sister sites, as many security systems and magical traps are still activated.
In addition, the staple technology of Arma hasn't remained in the best condition over the centuries. The vast stores of arcanite gunpowder have grown unstable from a combination of poor storage and frequent jostling. While they aren't prone to exploding without reason, sudden movements or bursts of magic can spark the powder and cause a violent explosion of magic force. The primary reason why Cita Arma is called Thunder Peak by locals is because of how the explosions within sound like distant thunder.

Purpose / Function

During it's hay-day, Cita Arma was one of the more militant sky-cities. With it's fortress-like design, large standing military, and use of advanced weaponry, Arma dominated any conflict it became involved with. However, this violence-focused standing left Arma lacking in the way of solid politics, reliable trade, or advanced travel systems of the other cities. Most notably, Cita Arma had little to no dedicated colonies or producers, having to rely on other states for the materials that fueled their industry.
In regards to Citan salvaging operations, Arma is well known as the source for most arcane firearms in current use. Countless pistols and muskets have been recovered from the ruins, while scavengers have also recovered multiple manuscripts and diagrams for designs or modifications, all of which fetch very high prices among the Gunsmith's Guild and beyond. In addition, scavengers frequently recover numerous kegs and barrels of arcane powder that the firearms use as ammunition, making Arma the primary source for it.

Alterations

While keeping in relatively good shape over the centuries of misuse, Arma has grown more pock-marked and rubble-strewn over the years, due to the vast stores of unstable materials. This means that many expeditions here are cut short by comparably simple mistakes, such as dropping a relic or opening the wrong door. Therefore, exploration of Arma is always very well guarded and strict, with each foot traveled taking half an hour to plan, prepare, and check.

Architecture

Most of Cita Arma is very church or castle-like in appearance, with towering stone walls, tight organization, and defense-oriented designs. Stone is the primary building component, what exterior buildings there are usually having tiled roofs. Most buildings were neat and organized, with exterior design limited to small banners or similar non-essential decorations. Many of the upper levels are dominated by a large number of stout towers, each topped with a pair of Culverin cannons within a massive arcane turret. Most of these turrets are defunct, but a select few are still in operation.
