Calvin Livingston
Calvin Kirk
The lich son of King Kregent Kirk, slain by the hands of his old friend Alador and dedicating his decaying life to killing other liches, granted another chance by a strange twist of fate.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Calvin appears rather frail, though is quick with his blade and staff being able to outmaneuver most through help of his wings. Though his stirking force is lacking he makes up for it with his spells.
Facial Features
Dying as a lich was not without cosmetic consequence, a seemingly rotted scar going down his left eye and causing him to be unable to see out of it.
Identifying Characteristics
Despite having thrown away the original hat and mask given to him by Ruinas, he procured a new set in order to use as a disguise as he continues his silent fight against the undead cult, even past his lichdom.
Physical quirks
Calvin, despite not flinching when scared, does a strange thing where only his right hand will flinch for him while the rest of his body remains stoic.
Special abilities
Even though Calvin is no longer a Lich, he has retained some control over Shade and undeath, being able to manipulate the necrotic energies with ease. This is not his go to however, as he would much rather channel his innate divine power before having to stoop to necromancy.
Apparel & Accessories
Calvin still wears the old robes given to him when joined Ruinas' cult, not finding much reason to change out of it. They're comfy and protective. Alongside the robes he wears a sash of talismen given to him by Wander for protection while adventuring, having to constantly switch them out due to the dangers he always faces.

Personal history
Calvin was the eldest of the sons born to King Kregent Kirk, and as such had the most pressure from their abusive father. Calvin was blessed by Aldarthuran just like the rest of the Kirk lineage and as such, forced to enroll within the royal guard program in order to hone his divine skill. It was when Calvin was twenty that he snapped, being unable to continue shouldering the abuse and watching his brothers face the exact same punishment no matter how good they all performed.
Calvin ran from home a year later at 21, seeking any way to potentially get back at and kill his father to free him and his brothers. Calvin studied any form of magic he could for countless years, 53 to be exact, but it was here where he was approached by a cult leader from Sciadan, Ruinas, one of Chaffinch's loyal lieutenants seeking to form his own cult under Chaffinch's and offered Calvin ultimate power, that of a Lich, and Calvin begrudgingly accepted, performing a ritual under Ruinas' name that involved sacrificing one of Aladors kids, his wife and banishing Alador to the Shadow Plane.
The lichdom came at a cost, Calvins sanity lowered with every waking moment as he terrorized the Fractured Isles with a single goal in mind, to kill his father, though becoming a villain in the process.
His terror was stopped when Alador and his group cut him down on the Fractured Isles Mainland, though not finishing him off for good. Calvin came back once more but took a moment to think for once during his lichdom, everything he had sacrificed just to get back at his father when his brothers were already probably out of his grasp because of how long he had spent. He hung up his hat and mask given to him by Ruinas in his favorite childhood place, Willow Heights and went his own way, dedicating what was left of his extended lich life to hunting down the other liches of Ruinas' cult until the souls he had accumulated expired.
Calvin spent the most of the next few years hunting liches that took the same power he did, from the Cult of Ruinas. In his short time of three years he managed to fell eight different liches before his time ran out fighting the eighth. He died slowly atop the tower the lich resided in, leaving a note on his body in case Alador or his youngest brother Oswald ever happened to stumble upon him.
He awoke a while later in the same position, a twist of fate bringing him back to life as Alador, who meddled with fate itself and pulled a magic card to rewrite one event, and the event Alador selected was, "I wish Calvin never became a Lich."
Calvin took the newly granted opportunity to be better, now that his father was no longer in the picture he tried to reunite with other members of the Kirk family who were disowned like himself, meet up with his brother Oswald and try and reconvene with Alador once more. He spends his days as an mage in Livingston Village living with Wander and studying the different forms nature magic may take.

Sexuality
Calvin, after almost being forced into a mandated marriage by his father, refuses to partake in most sexual or even romantic acts.
Education
Calvin is well taught, having been put through the Fractured Isles most prestigious school at a young age, then taking it upon himself to further his studies himself, both when he became a lich and after.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Calvin seeks to show himself that he's still worthy of being called a human, partaking on perilous journeys alone and slaying villains in order to quell his own guilt and hope that one day he'll see himself as worthy enough to speak to his former siblings and friends again.
Social
Reign
His reign as a lich in the Fractured Isles lasted a good 11 years before it was halted by the same people who killed King Kirk. The reign itself was tyrannical, many people knew of Calvin and many despised him, accruing a bounty of 5000 gold that, to this day, was never claimed.
Contacts & Relations
Calvin has close contact with another member of the Kirk family, an owl girl named Wander Livingston, an alchemist who lives in the deep woods of Karica. Despite initially having a strained relationship the two have found solace in each other, coming from two horrid ends of the Kirk royal bloodline.
He has some contact with his brothers, Oswald and Alfred, though Oswald is difficult to reach at times and Alfred obsesses over trying to become the next King Kirk. Alongside his brothers, he sometimes sends letters to Alador about his achievements he's particularly proud of, though still trying to be someone worthy of reconnecting with.

Family Ties
Calvin has cut ties with most of the Kirk family as others in his place have, the newer generation of Kirks trying their best to completely segment themselves from the abusive, racist and classist mess that their royal bloodline is.
Religious Views
Calvin does not pray to a single god, viewing most of them worthy of worship, even the ones considered evil by most. He simply views gods a necessary force in the world, praying to whoever whenever.
Mannerisms
Calvin, at one point, spoke high and mighty, constantly belittling people he thought were beneath him. This was during the height of his reign as the Lich of the Fractured Isles, though ever since his fall he's become more meek, a man of few words and standing eerily still and staring unless he has to move.

Awesome read! One thing I would really enjoy would be to read more about his relationship with Wander Livingston. It sounds very interesting. I really loved it! Thank you!
I would've wrote so much more but this was my last article for the summer camp, got it in with 10 minutes on the clock because work was busy. Definitely gonna edit it to include more after August 31st.
