Purpose / Function

The tavern provides food, drink, and entertainment to thos entering or exiting Tirfalon from the west.

Contents & Furnishings

The tavern has a long horseshoe-shaped bar of dark wood with stools lining all three sides. The room is furnished with round tables and chairs with round seats and backs. There are lamps on each table which have a pole with a globe on top representing a lollipop. The lamps are all different colors. There are also additional multicolored lamps hanging from the ceiling. This gives the place a festive air at all times.

Alterations

The building is only about 20 years old so hasn't required any alterations.

Architecture

The Lollipop is a square building with its front entrance facing west. At the east end of the building, the kitchen runs the length of the building. The bar is at the east end of the main room. A stage for entertainers is located in the southwest corner next to the door. This serves two purposes. One is to tempt passersby with the music or other entertainment. The other is to provide said entertainers a hastey exit in case of poor performance and an unappreciative crowd. There is a large window on the other side of the door. Smaller windows line the north and south walls to provide light during the day.

History

Keegan Byrne built the tavern after being sacked in 1980 AG from the Dewdrop Inn after being partially blamed by the owner, Edgar Radcliff for the curse being put on the inn by a dissatisfied customer. He continues to happily run the establishment with his wife and two sons.

Tourism

The tavern gets a lot of business from travelrs to an dfrom Tirfalon. It is also a favorite attraction for locals due to its unique and delicious drinks and food. The varied entertainments provided on the stage also help to bring many patrons.
