Raven Headmistress Gw'ne Tlepchuk (a.k.a. Raven Queen, Mother Gw'ne)
Gw'ne Tlepchuk is a Varshalshken lich of great power who arose during the Oriental Crusade, becoming a potent magical weapon on the side of the Steppe forces. After the war ended, she established the Academy of Varshalshka, became a Lich, and ascended to a form of god-hood. She has largely retreated from public life, and spends most of her time in her demiplane.

Personal history
Gw'ne Tlepchuk was born in a small homestead in the foothills of the Aksukhat mountains, the fourth of seven children. The Nartsukhvi were largely uninvolved in the Uqesheg's wars of conquest, but offered tacit support against the lowland tribes they traditionally raided, and continued to offer this support against the Crusaders, sheltering Uqesheg guerillas in their villages but not swearing outright loyalty. The crusading forces were quick to notice this, however, and dispatched punitive raids into the Aksukhat mountains. Gw'ne's family was unfortunately caught up in this struggle, and their homestead was burned and parents killed for harboring guerillas. Gw'ne survived by using what little magic she knew to conceal herself, but was forced to watch her parents and siblings burn. She keeps the ashes of that life with her always.
The next day, partisans who had been driven into the woods found the ruin, drawn by the smoke. They came across Gw'ne, and she joined them in their voyage back north to the war-camp of Meqlesh Arshuk. Under Arshuk, Gw'ne became a powerful magical weapon in the ongoing struggle, as well as a rallying point; many had also lost their homes and their families to the Crusade, and her mixed heritage served to broaden the steppe lepqe's support base within the Muklhagir-speaking populations of eastern Varshalshka. Under her figurehead leadership, the Steppe Lepqe's cause changed from foreign conquerors attempting to hold on to power against outside intervention into a war of ethnic survival for the non-Noneric groups that lived in Varshalshka.
