Uqesheg

The Uqesheg, also known as the Steppe L'epqe or Steppe Tribes, are a broad ethnic grouping united by a shared history. Initially forced from their homelands on the western fringes of Grand Erbakan by the conquests of Altan Unal, they were forced onto the Endless Steppe and crossed vast distances over a period of centuries, absorbing and intermingling with other groups along the way, before arriving in Varshalshka and overthrowing the local rulers.

The Uqesheg are known as skilled riders, deadly archers, and tough fighters, but are most famous in the west for their undeniable prowess with arcane and occult magic, and their near-veneration of those who achieve mastery over its many forms. They have traditionally forsaken the worship of the gods, viewing them as impartial and uncaring, and of the divine praise Roshva (known as the Masked Observer in the west) alone. for she alone asks nothing of them.
