Lochdohman's Grand Temple of Caerwyn
On the western edge of the Guild Plaza stands the gaudily decorated Grand Temple of Caerwyn. The large building is arguably only smaller than the Hone Home Keep. The signs of recent construction are obvious as some of the former statues paying homage to the old gods needed to be repurposed. Several beggars sit on steps leading to the Temple's front door.Originally, the goddess Istus (the old goddess of good fortune) was revered by many of those traveling to and from Lochdomhan, and her temple awaited them just off the harbor docks. However, the Church of Caerwyn has recently converted the temple. Patrons are free to rest here, seek treatment from Istus’ clerics, and give Caerwyn offerings in exchange for blessings of safe voyage across the sea. The inside of the temple is very open as the majority of the interior is dedicated to worship. In the back, behind the priests' chambers is a small prayer garden. When there is no active ceremony happening, there a usually a handful of worshippers scattered amongst the pews. The rector is usually found tending to the garden when not meeting with a worshipper.
