Lady Emilia Valcov
Emilia Valcov was raised by Anton Valcov, an early supporter of Invictus Argol in the days of the Unification War. Anton was an elder vampire who had a great deal of respect amongst many vampire lords and ladies even before Nosferia was founded even though he was clanless. He was merely a sort of folk hero amongst Vampires and even some Unturned. Naturally, that talent and respect was passed down to Emilia, who despite seeming to have a somewhat stunted growth as a vampire, proved herself time and time again during the latter days of the Unification War. Anton stepped aside over time as she continued to display her prowess. There was whispering amongst other vampire nobles for a time that she was a Dhampir, the bastard daughter of Anton and some unnamed peasant woman, but those who chose to scrutinize or mock her for such rumors would find themselves humiliated at best. At worst, they would be cut down entirely. Emilia was never brash, but always confident enough in her abilities. She surpassed Anton in many ways that he as her adoptive father and teacher never expected, and as a result he slowly prepared for her to take over all that he had worked for.
Only a few years after the war, Anton founded Clan Borshev. He would only preside over that clan for a few years before stepping down as both Regent of Balacav and Patriarch of Clan Borshev to become an instructor. He abdicated all claims to those titles to Emilia. Emilia took over both the clan and the region and made transformative changes to their structure that improved efficiency in their governance as well as their effectiveness in maintaining the defense of Nosferia. In the centuries that passed, Emilia would be the most proactive and progressive of the five regents. She often butted heads with Lord Paschiole and Lord Vale upon his ascension to recency. She shared a friendly rivalry with Lord Acharya, who respected her as a warrior and a leader. Lady Penelope would grow to be a close friend and confident.
Emilia would regularly go to great lengths to improve and defend Nosferia, even going so far as to go behind the backs of The Emperor and his Hands when the best course of action seemed beyond them. The Emperor and his Hands would be surprisingly lenient towards her, particularly when she achieved results that they could not. He loyalty to the throne has always come across as more than just blind obedience. As a more proactive member of The Council of Five Regents, she does not shy away from a fight, much to the dismay of The Emperor and The High Chancellor. The Lord Admiral has always been amused and welcoming to her help on the field. Her most notable appearance on the battlefield during Nosferia's rule was at the battle of Cadizo Prison where she arrived with reinforcements after a few months of the prison being held by The Continental People's Front. She tore through their defenses and scattered those that remained.
Emilia Valcov is known to regularly wear her light armor nearly everywhere she goes. She is instantly recognizable by her silvery white hair braided back and crimson eyes. Her favored weapon is a peculiar serrated gladius-like weapon bearing a curved hilt that extends into a long tipped spear of sorts. The unusual weapon has proven effective in her hands in the times she has found herself fighting. She is a particularly acrobatic combatant prone to improvisation and mastery over many different weapon styles. Overall, Emilia is more versatile as a fighter than one would expect of a Regent of Nosferia. While Lord Acharya is a cavalry combatant, Lady Penelope is a shield maiden, and Lord Paschiole is a strategist, Emilia has demonstrated that she is capable of fulfilling any role on the battlefield. Her extensive capabilities as both a leader, a politician, and a combatant come at the cost of time, however. Emilia tirelessly labors over her skills and the governance of her region and clan. As such, she has no respect or time for nonsense from her peers or those below her.
