Clan Borshev Organization in Nosferia | World Anvil

Clan Borshev

Born out of a need to ensure the safety of the throne and the very powers which it represents, Clan Borshev is dedicated to absolute Nosferian loyalty. This clan oversees the vampires closest to the emperor, his Hands, and his Council of Five Regents and maintains a balance of life between the citizens and the monstrous creatures that thrive within the wilds.

Structure

Emelia Valcov, regent of Balacáv, is the matriarch of the clan. She did not found it as that was done by her adoptive father, but she inherited it from its original creator. The founder of clan Borshev is a vampire by the name of Anton Valcov. He raised and trained Amelia from a young age and elected to retire and abdicate his position as clan head to his surrogate daughter.

Public Agenda

Clan Borshev's position within the empire mainly consists of maintaining it's security within the capital region and the capital city of Shtrigia. They train the Pyrian Knights at Fort Kolvos, their primary holding outside of Shtrigia. They are also responsible for maintaining the guild of Monster Hunters sanctioned by the throne who keep the more nefarious wildlife of Balacáv under control.

Assets

All of Clan Borshev's holdings are centralized within Balacav. They own Fort Kolvos and are responsible for training the Pyrian Knights as well as funding and training the Balacavi Hunter's Guild members. Their assets mainly consist of forges and quarries given to them by the empire to maintain their organizations. Often they will sell what they produce to continue maintaining capital and much of the local weaponsmiths in Balacav answer to the clan.

History

Clan Borshev was formed shortly before the war of unification. It was formed by Anton Valcov a decade or so before the Unification War began and Invictus Argol approached Valcov to join him first. Valcov was a close friend and associate of Argol's before he founded the clan. It is theorized by some that Argol bankrolled the clan's foundation and enabled Valcov to fill his ranks with loyal members that would begin the foundation of the Unification War. No substantial evidence has been accumulated to confirm this, however, it is clear that Argol has close ties with the clan to the point of accusations of favoritism being insinuated within the courts.
