Captain Jonathan Finch

Johnathan is the ex=cpatain of the White Diamond and leader of the Outcasts. He lives on the wester shore of Mosaw with the other outcasts in the hulks of several ships that were shipwrecked on the island.
John is a bit eccntric, telling tall tales of his life as a pirate which could not possibly be true. He is known as a great captain though, and has a group of very loyal followers. Some say he has a magic compass that leads him treasures, and many people who have sailed with him say he is blessed by Tempest and Twil, as things seem to just fall in his favor.
He claims to have been met both goddesses when they visited Nor in thier human form, and even spent some time as thier lover, engaging in sexual relations with both of them at the same time. He claims to be a chosen of both of the goddesses and that is why he can do some of the things he claims to be able to do, and how he has so many fantastical stories.
While John has often led his crew into great treasure he has also led them into some dangerous situatios, and often is responsible for them losing thier riches as fast as they got them.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Finch is in suprisingly good shape, probably from the amount of time he spends running from danger. He is an alchoholic though, and has been for years, drinking more than most men would survive. Somehow this has not yet had an effect on his body, but it is only a matter of time most woudl beleive.

Physical quirks

Finch walks with a drunken gait, even if he hasn't has anything to drink.

Special abilities

If luck were a special ability, john would be a master of it. Regardless of what goes on around him, Finch always seems to come out unscathed. While he never seems to away with everything he wants, he has the uncanny ability to survive almost any dangerous situation he ends up in.

Apparel & Accessories

While most pirates dress in a particular way, in clothing that is easy to move in and durable, and is unique enough to make easy to tell friend from foe, John takes it to the extreme, dressing flamboyantly, and over piratey.

Specialized Equipment

Finch Carries a magical pistol Which seems to always be loaded when he needs it, but the definition of when he needs it appears to be different from when he thinks he needs it, as the pistol will suddenly be out of ammo, at times that he doesn't expect it to be. Usually this results in preventing him from making a mistake and shooting someone when it would make a situation worse for him.

Finch also is known to have a magical compass that can lead him to his hearts desire, however due to his fickle nature the compass can show different directions each day.

Personal history

Very little is known about Finch, and his stories of his past are to fantastic to believe. In his recent history he has been a pirate / treasure hunter. He seemes to have a knack of finding easy marks that happen to carrying much more than they would appear to have, or to find hidden places where there is treasuer there just for the taking.
Unfotunately for Finch, his latest encounter did not go well. While working to off load a haul, he seemed to have had some type of altercation with Olivya Dain, who not only exiled him from Haram Bay, but also had Rex Mooring almost take his his ship. Instead he tool all of Finch's cargo and treasure from the crew. The crew of the White Diamond then abandonded him and his most loyal followers in order to regain the good graces of Dain. Finch is now living with the [Outcasts of Haram Bay] and has even taken leadership of them.

While Finch seems to have knowledge on a wide variety of subjects, some very esoteric, he seems to have no formal education at all.

Employment

Finch is currently unemployed, having been abandoned by his former crew for losing all of thier treasure.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Finches has a multitudes of acomplishments, if his own stories are to be believed, including having relationships with two Gods, Taming and riding a sea serpent, Sailing to the end of the world, and falling off into the land of the dead, in which he was able to dice with Grazon himself and win his soul back. These are a small sampling of his adventures that he boasts of.

Morality & Philosophy

Finch seeme to have no moral code at all. He will happily sell his reletives for the right price, a fact that his crew is fully aware of, yet still somehow remain loyal to him.

Motivation

If you ask Finch what motivates him, he will give you a flippant answer about wine, women, and gold, but in truth finch is a really chaotic creature that seems to have no normal motivations at all. While he thinks he is looking for the easy life, he also gravitates to situations which make his life more difficult.
