Captain Rex Mooring (a.k.a. The Devil of Haram Bay)
Captain Rex Mooring is one of the most feared Pirates sailing the Amrid today. While he once terrified merchant ships as far north as Twin Suns, he now spends most of his days around Haram Bay, acting as enforcer for Olivya Dain.
Mooring is the Captain of the Shaodw Storm a well armed and fortified Pirate ship. He commands a crew of about 35 men. While he very rarely takes ships ouside the Shoals any longer he keeps his crew ready and well tranied. Mooring was a ruthless Pirate often sinking ship after he took anything useful. Rarely did he allow a ship's crew to survive a meeting. Despite his reputation and viscious nature, he also has a very charming personality, in a scoundrel sort of way.
Mooring is a master tactician when it comes to ship vs ship battle, but is also an acomplished swordsman.

Mooring is a excellent shape, and has the physique of a trained fighter. He constantly trains keeping himself fit and ready for combat. Although he lost his left leg, it hasn't seemed to affect his fighting ability.

Captain Rex Mooring has a metal peg leg that replaced his left leg after it has to be aputated due to an insect bite that had got infected.

Personal history
Rex Mooring was abandoned on the steps of a Brothel in Haram Bay as an infant, and the one of the women took him in. Like other who had suffered similar fates, as a young boy he worked running errand and doing chores. When he was old enough and the madam decided it was time to put him to work, he almost killed his first client, a nolder man who had a preference for those of his type.
He ran away and joined the first crew that would take him. He was only about 11 years old. over the year he had served aboard many ships and with different crews, learning the life of a Pirate from some of the most famous pirates to captain a ship. He was only 19 when he managed to get his own ship (After killing the captain in a duel). He lost left leg due to an infected bug bite and has replaced it with a metal prostethic.
He did well for a newcomer and honed his craft, becoming one of the most feared Pirates to sail the Amrid by the age 25. His name was well known from Twin Suns to Seaport. Many navy captain had hunted him only to end up at the bottom of the ocean.
When Olivya Dain took over Haram Bay, he vehemently opposed her being in charge, and vowed to take the Storm and leave the bay for good. Many pirates had sought to follow him. Then a meeting was arranged between him and Dain which somehow changed his mind. In fact he soon became one of her biggest supporters and even used the Storm to sink several pirates that had cause her issues.
Eventually he stopped leaving the island to hunt marks, and instead has taken up working for Dain exclusively.

Mooring has no formal education but has learn how to captain a hip and win naval attel from some of the best pirates to ever practice the craft. He is regarded as one of the most dangerous captains alive when it comes to ship to ship combat.

While Rex will deny it anyone can tell taht he is fond of Olivya Dain and is often willing to go against his own best intrest to help her. Before he met her his loyalty was to himself and his crew only. Since he has been working for her, his crew worries he is losing his edge.
