Polar River
The Polar River is the largest river in Dustbane, and runs between the two valleys in the Midway Point. While the river seems normal during the summer, it gets covered in some thick mist during the winter.
Geography
The Polar River runs from the eastern edge of Dustbane City to Barents Sea in the west. It is in between the two tall valleys that make up the Midway Point.
Localized Phenomena
The river remains clear for most of the year, but from November to February, some mist starts to form in the area. No-one knows why, but it has put plenty of people out of business because no-one can fish in the river.
Natural Resources
Because the Polar River is quite deep, there are lots of freshwater fish that can be found there. The most common fish species are trout, pike and perch in this river. Occasionally, someone finds an eel, too.
Tourism
When people visit Dustbane in the summer, they tend to go sailing or kayaking down the Polar River (neither of which the Global Pallorin recommends). People also go fishing during the summer, as they are more likely to catch fish then than in the winter.
