Will Tancred
Will Tancred was a Human druid and a member of the Master Quartet, the most powerful Veilran mages leading the magical defense of Nohl during the War of Three Flames. The other three members of the quartet sacrificed themselves thus lending their power to Will so he could permanently seal Nohl out of the Hellish planes' reach.

Identifying Characteristics
Will had a fair complexion, medium length brown hair, and blue eyes. He took great care to shave every morning, and if he showed up somewhere with stubble on his face, it was a sign that he was under an immense amount of stress. He prefered simple clothes, shirts and breeches that would allow him freedom of movement should he find himself in melee. He almost always wore a knitted striped green scarf around his neck, a gift from his infirm sister.
Special abilities
Will's druidic talents manifested in the form of powerful evocation and transmutation spells allowing him to cause significant force damage to his enemies. He was known to utilize the following abilities during his military service:
- Spirit Hand to create a large, translucent hand capable of pushing and striking objects or shielding the caster
- Stillness to temporarily paralyze enemies, restricting their movement
- Aspect of the Bear for the caster's hands to temporarily transform into clawed bear paws for powerful unarmed attacks
- Power Strike to swing a melee weapon and send forth a wave of force energy
- Force Bolt to shoot powerful energy from one's hand capable of piercing through armor
- Earthquake to cause a tremor in the ground capable of knocking individuals prone and jeopardizing the stability of nearby terrain
- Gravity Gap to create a sucking hole of gravitational energy that pulls those close to it inward and slowly crushes them

Personal history
Will was born and raised in the city of Arbos, the capital of the Renala region of Veilra. As a teenager, he received a blessing of primal magic from the Dire Bear, the Beast Eternal presiding over that part of the world.
During the War of Three Flames, Will pledged his services to the Nohlish Resistance within the first month of the conflict.
The Master Quartet was formed in the Autumn of 1955, when the Veilran king beseeched Will to collaborate on defensive strategies with other members Litoreus, Ianthe Hark Turner, and Esca Dreolin. The four mages initially butted heads but eventually found their groove together and became not only strong allies but fierce friends.
