Master Quartet

The Master Quartet was established in 1955 VT as a collaboration of the four most powerful mages in the Nohlish Resistance during the War of Three Flames. It consisted of Elven wizard Litoreus, Human druid Will Tancred, Silfan witch Ianthe Hark Turner, and Ifrinn cleric Esca Dreolin.
The Quartet had been charged on multiple occasions with the task of sealing the portal used by the Hell planes to enter Nohl, what the Nohlish Resistance refered to as the Damned Rfit. While interplanar portals can be opened by one powerful mage, they can only be closed with cooperative magical action from both sides, and since the Damned Rift connected at once to three separate Hell planes, it would take three willing souls on the far side of the portal to close it. But what use would it be to close the portal when the demons of Bekat could simply re-open them?
On the morning of the 9th of Satrix, 1963 VT, Esca Dreolin called for the Quartet to meet them outside the Damned Rift. One night earlier, the Hellish Forces had fully retreated through the portal to regroup after their most recent siege against Nohl.
The Quartet has been memorialized with a statue in the Veilran capital city of Wyndclyff. The statue depicts Will Tancred surrounded by his three companions who encircled him with joined hands. Citizens often leave flowers at what has become the most visited war memorial in the country.
