The Vanguard

The Vanguard is an organisation dedicated to the protection of humanoids along the eastern part of Farlis. They are not bound to any country and were never involved in wars before the recent war of 1237 AE. The Vanguard was originally formed in the Middle Era when the countries were smaller and did not have sufficient armies to hold of the constant threat of Goblinoid, Mountain Tribe or Orc raids. During the recent war however the Vanguard did take the side of the Eastern Alliance after the Sacking of Savi.  This act by the Magi Covenant caused the Vanguard to intervene.
Their largest fort is situated at the Endra swamps hills since it close to major roads leading to Varena and Eprus. Other forts can be found along the eastern coastlines or along major trade routes. All races are welcome to join the Vanguard and they have several embassies in most countries on the eastern part of Farlis and even in Mervidel and Aldhir.
