General Summary

Varos

29th of Raperi'el

After arriving in Varos the group decides to explore the city a little bit. Aiden and Vittoria also decide to commune with their god Indovir to get insight and makes sense of what is happening now. After a ritual in the local temple they actually see Indovir appear before them telling them of the danger that Mackevor poses and grants them his blessing. Strangely enough he also mentions that Lofior is on the good side.
The rest already does some shopping in the city while Dimble decides to have a look at the refugee camp outside the city gates. He finds out that they many of them originally fled from Savi during the war but that the number of refugees increased even further after recent events. An undead horde as appeared in Savi causing the last few remaining inhabitants to flee as well.
Eventually they all meet up and decide to eat at a local restaurant. They all end up eating a flatbread (pizza) and enjoy it so much that Nimble and Vittoria decide to buy a cooking book in the city to learn how to make it themselves.

Change of plans

When the group decides to leave they suddenly get a note in the special note container that Janos gave them. He mentions a slight change of plan as Yamaderis has decided to join them together with Musashi and Kojiro. Yamaderis espcecially wants to find out more about the ruins and the Raitin while Musashi and Kojiro would be of great helping in getting the airship going. It would, however, take them a while to get to Varos. The group therefore decides to first investigate Savi since Dimble mentioned the recent troubles there to the group. In addition it could perhaps give them so more insight into the crystal that was menitoned by the Manticore.

30th of Raperi'el

The next day the group left Varos to travel north towards Savi. It did not take long before they encounter something strange. Several large, colorfull flying jellyfish creatures were right along the road. Even without provoking them they descended upon the group and started attacking. Everything went quite good until one of them exploded near Finrod causing other jellyfish creatures to explode as well. Finrod did not survive the blast initially but is luckily saved by Vittoria.
Eventually they decided to continue and stumbled upon a small house that for some strange reason had many gigantic mushrooms growing nearby. Upon entering they found a scared family and two Dark Elves of whom one was wounded. They introduced themselves as Uthrik and Valker and they told the group that the were suddenly teleported to the surface while the large column of light appeared north. It seemed that lots of strange this happened during that event as they also mentioned that other evil, corrupted creatures were teleported nearby as well.
The previous night they barely managed to defend the house and Valker got wounded during the fight. According to them the creatures were servants of the dark god Ifelian who is a menance in the Lower Realms. Since night was already falling the group decided to rest there anyway hoping that the creatures would not return.

Screams in the night

31st of Raperi'el

But the creatures did return. In the middle of the night the group heard screams coming from all around them. They saw disfigured humanoids with horrifying faces every time a lightning flashed above them. It was a hard fight with both Aiden and Finrod almost perishing. But Nimble could not let it get that far as she quickly gave Aiden a healing potion.
After killing all the creatures around they resumed their rest. The next morning they agreed to travel furhter to Savi, but Uthrik offered to join them as he thought that these creatures could be linked to what was happening in Savi. And if that were the case it would be his duty to stop Ifelian's plans.
