Mizarin Tree Talking
If the lightwalker wanted to speak with you, you would understand its message A form of communication that has for a long time baffled outsiders is how the Mizarin Nightlights communicate with eachother and other beings. It is, however, known to be possible as the Mizarin Priesthood has found a way to communicate with the plants. This allows them to command the trees to change their structure forming buildings in the process. This communication is vital to the culture of the Nekorians but remains a complete mystery to outsiders. Even more curious is that the average Nekorian does not how to talk to the Mizarin Nightlight. Only the Priesthood has this knowledge and they don't want to share it.
The knowledge in this article is almost in its entirety not know to the general population of Niorath. For ease of access during summercamp I have made this available to all but this will later be limited to the Asmer Initiates group to keep the mystery for those who don't want to know more than the people of Niorath could know.

Communication
Light
One of the methods that Mizarin Nightlights communicate is by uses flashes of light. This is a behaviour only seen in the 'seeds' of the Mizarin Nightlights, known as the lightwalkers. They consist mostly of vines but they also have several light emitting globes with the largest one being at the top of their body. The light from these globes can be used as a defense mechanism to blind attackers, but it is also used as a language between lightwalkers. Some outsiders have correctly deduced that short and long flashes of light in either fast or slow succession can mean different words. A few Nekorians that don't belong to the priesthood know simple words such as "Thanks" and "Water" but many don't bother to learn to identify the flashes. When they "talk" to other species the lightwalkers tend to slow down their flashes in order for others to try to understand them. When talking to eachother they use flashes at astonishing speed and can communicate with eacother quite efficiently that way.

This is so fascinating. I love that there are different methods of communication.
