The King's Barrow

Where thy end thy days, enclosed, entombed and remembered. Be revered for who thy was, vile, sound or lost. Thy was king, these hallow grounds thy tomb.
— Words carved in stone on The King's Barrow's entrance
Millenia have since passed when Kings of Ravero were no more than tribal chiefs fighting other chiefs over the dominance of the hills and forests of Lunand and the other southern regions. The Herrnmeids, the Holdest and Lion tribes were among the many vying for control. One location was sacred to all of them as one or the other gained dominance. This was The King's Barrow.
Inside the rolling hillsides and forest are the tombs of prominent tribe leaders over the millennia. While those from the time period known as Jorvik are forgotten, the Kings of Ravero respect the tradition of being buried in these tombes next to their kinsmen. The stone doorway is said to hold inscriptions of magic protecting the dead from both Krakros and grave defilers that dare to try and take anything from the tomb.
