VIctoira House, Room 112
Miriam Lumo and Ayan Tyeen live in room 112 of Victoria House during their freshman year. The room is on the first floor, at the end of the girls hall. Like the other rooms in Victoria House, it has two beds, two desks, and two dressers.
The right hand side is Miriam's. It is neat and sparse. Miriam's desk is typically clean, with her stack of school books pushed on one side. She also has a stack of very good writing paper, which she uses to communicate with her uncle and his staff in Alaj. He dresser contains her Faraday uniform, and other clothes, which mostly amounts to darker colored skirts, in Alajan fashion, but she also has a bright yellow sweatsuit that she wears during her morning martial arts practice.
The left hand side belongs to Ayan. Her desk is taken up primarily by her sewing machine, and her desk drawers have smaller sewing accouterments. When she is not using her sewing machine, it is covered by a quilted fabric case in the colors of the Antaran flag. Her school books sometimes sit stacked on her desk, but just as often are stacked on the floor, by her bed. Her sewing scissors are usually out on the desk, though sheathed when she is not using them, and scraps of fabric often litter the floor. It is common to see a partially finished garment draped over the back of Ayan's chair. Her dresser contains her fabric for sewing, as well as her clothes. Ayan makes all her own clothing, including her Faraday shirts and the clothes she wears with them. These mostly consist of a variety of skirts, usually in blue and orange to complement the white of her Faraday uniform, but also a couple pairs of denims. Neither girl has posters decorating the wall or photographs giving insight to their families back home.
