Tode Kotsotake Gatseline

Tode Gatseline was born in 1911 in Agrona, to a wealthy Xurugwi family. As a teenager, he attended Faraday Academy of Wizards, where he quickly took to cooking. As a young man, he joined the Agronan army, where his natural gift for communications led him to become a translator. His translation work brought him to Nefrale, where he met Melody Nightwind. He and Melody later married, and had three children: Cadolina, Sama, and Tilitsitane. Though his wife is by far the more famous of the two, Tode himself remains an important Agronan diplomat. He is known for his calm demeanor and his excellent fried fish.

History

Tode and Melody met first at Faraday Academy of Magic and again when Tode was a translator in the Agronan army. They married, despite their religious differences, and agreed to expose their children to both faiths.
