Fates
In all worlds, fictional or not there exists a set of beings that exist outside the world. For us, they are the gods you pray to, or the luck you hope for. In Anah’s world, the Fates are their deities.
First and foremost, the fates are exactly what they sound like. They are a system of beings that keep track of the world. Life creates the creatures using the spirit energy of the fallen. Those creatures live their lives according to the path set by Destiny. Death comes at the end when the creature dies. He takes the spirit energy of that creature and gives it back to Life to use in another creature.
To do their jobs, Fates operate unseen by mortal and immortal eyes. They live between moments in time allowing them to move unseen by most. Most being the keyword, those with enough spirit energy can see the Fates as they move through the world, but this is rare with only a few beings capable. Aside from that the Fates only appear to those who they want to see. Death does this the most often times showing himself to creatures about to die.
The worship of Fates is not uncommon. The gods of Heaven hold the Fates high regard with some worshiping them as supreme beings. Many call on the strength of the Fates in times of war, but this normally doesn't yield anything.
The orcs within the Middle Kingdom, are one of the only exceptions. They worship the Fates Life and Death. Most of their civilization is devoted to this worship. It is believed that this began because of a tree just outside their capital known as the Tree of Creation (will speak more about this in Life’s article).
To end, the Fates are without a doubt the most powerful creatures in this world. They use their powers to perform a service to all that inhabit. Even though they could seize control at any time they choose to stand aside and let their creatures live their lives with only Destiny to guide them.

They exist between moments in time. They remain there to move through the world unseen. When not performing their duties they reside in another world that exists in that time period.
The world is old, far older than the other where time moves forward, there lays a castle made of a black stone that is as reflective as a mirror. This castle is cold, dark, and filled with the secrets the Fates never wish the mortal world to find.
The world around the castle is uninhabitable. Light from the sun is non-existent, the cold outside create a dark and icy world. There are plants leading one to believe that a sun once existed, but they have been frozen in place. Beneath the ice, the ground is black and dry. The air itself is toxic to any who live there. The Fates are the only beings that are capable of living in this world, anyone else who comes would die within a few minutes.
