The Raven Queen, Goddess of Fate & Death

The Raven Queen is the goddess of fate, death, and winter. Notably, her dominion over death only extends to the moment of death; those who have already died fall under the domain of Kelemvor, Lord of the Dead. Though she is not an evil entity, many fear The Raven Queen for her association with death. She is obsessed with collecting and observing memories and spends much of her time isolated in her Fortress of Memories in the Shadowfell doing just that. Few, if any, individuals have been in direct contact with The Raven Queen in living memory.
What few mortals, save for The Raven Queen's servants, realize is just how closely her obsession with memories is linked with her status as the deity of death. She is the reason a mortal's life flashes before their eyes in the moment of death, for it is then that The Raven Queen seizes those memories to add to her collection. It is for this reason that mortal souls retain no recollection of their past self when their soul moves on and is reborn into a celestial, fiend, or whatever other creature is native to the afterlife they were destined for. This process, however, is not irreversible. Any mortal returned to life has their memories returned to them as they draw their first new breath, which can sometimes be to The Raven Queen's ire though she is often content to leave such matters be, knowing that it will not be long (by a deity's reckoning) before those memories enter her collection once again.
On Nexus, the rare occasions she chooses to communicate with mortals often come as messages from her priestess Skein. Despite this seeming lack of interest, The Raven Queen is well aware of Nexus' importance to the fate of the multiverse and keeps a close watch on the world. Though few mortals are aware of it, she tugs the Threads of Fate as needed to move adventurers and other heroes against evil beings that threaten to disrupt Nexus' balance. This also extends to beings that would threaten The Raven Queen herself, such as agents of enemies that covet her power over death, chiefly Orcus and Vecna.

Shadows Unleashed Campaign

Taking notice of Levira's efforts to free Mesogog, The Raven Queen subtly manipulated the fates of several adventurers to pit them against her. The Raven Queen knew that Levira would not consider lower-ranked adventurers to be a threat, which proved to be the Levira's undoing as the adventurers ultimately destroyed her. During their journey, they were also assisted both directly and indirectly by The Raven Queen's priestess Skein on a few occasions.

Uncovering the Underdark Campaign

When the Delvers of Secrets entered the Shadowfell in search of Mother Moth, Jake F. Statefarm noticed a raven that landed on a nearby tree. The bird observed them briefly before flying off with a "kaw", leaving the adventurer K to openly wonder if the Raven Queen was watching them.
