Session 37 - Training 101
General Summary
Uncertainty set in as Finn drove the carriage away from the Red Fangs' Camp. Ultimately, he decided to turn around and confront Tinheart. Sasha agreed with the decision, while Hamilton struggled to support the idea. The party left the carriage behind and continued on-foot, toward the direction Beartrap had pointed out. They discovered some traps, and were eventually spotted by a guard! He demanded they drop their weapons, and not wanting to stir the pot, the trio complied. The guard escorted them into the camp, where he and a few other Red Fangs began to bully them. Mercy stepped in and shooed them away. She brought Finn to Tinheart after hearing his intentions, and requested that Hamilton and Sasha offer their training expertise in teaching some new recruits. Sasha and Hamilton disagreed on teaching methods, but Hamilton did show some fondness for Veronica. He took Veronica out to the woods to teach her how to shoot, and a little more about the ways of the world, while Walsh, Rollie, and Sasha looked on in secret. Rollie threw his sword, and when he went to retrieve it, discovered that he had hit and upset a pack of Emberfangs! The entire group was forced to fight back! Rollie was heavily injured, but they emerged victorious and without casualties. Meanwhile, Finn asked Tinheart some burning questions. Tinheart remained vague on details, and eventually Finn was fed up and ready to leave. But Tinheart had other plans. He took Finn out into the woods and attacked him! As they fought, Tinheart pushed Finn to realize the seriousness of a battle, and showed him how to use anything and everything in a fight. The battle ended with no winner, but Tinheart told Finn that he wasn't ready to face the Liberty Knights, and that it was time to grow up. With that, he walked off back to camp…
