Selethis

Goddess of Nature, Harvest, and the Sun

"Nature is a fickle thing, both frail and wrathful."   Selethis, known as the Woodland Woman and the Green Lady, embodies the untamed spirit of nature and the life-giving power of the sun. She is a radiant goddess, her presence exuding an aura of vibrant energy and wild beauty. Her long flowing hair resembles the golden rays of the sun, interwoven with leaves, flowers, and delicate vines. Her emerald eyes are filled with warmth and wisdom, reflecting the mysteries of the natural world.   She is often depicted adorned with a crown of blooming flowers and draped in flowing robes that mimic the hues of the forest, ranging from vibrant greens to earthy browns. She is surrounded by a menagerie of animals, including deer, foxes, rabbits, and birds, who are drawn to her gentle and nurturing spirit. Her connection with the natural world is palpable, as plants and flowers seem to blossom and bloom in her presence.   Selethis radiates a sense of both tranquility and fierce protectiveness over the balance of nature. She encourages her followers to live in harmony with the natural world, to cultivate the land ethically, and to respect the creatures that inhabit it. In return, she blesses them with abundant harvests and shields them from natural calamities. However, she is not without her wrath, and those who exploit or harm the earth face her vengeful retribution.   Unlike many other gods, Selethis prefers to dwell within the natural world itself, rather than having a realm of her own. She roams the forests, meadows, and sunlit groves, tending to the needs of her followers and nurturing the delicate equilibrium of the ecosystem. Her aversion to excessive urbanization and disregard for nature make her an advocate for sustainable living and a reminder of the importance of preserving the beauty and sanctity of the natural world.
